Carolyn Haywood

Carolyn is an emerging artist who is developing a multi disciplinary art practice. She has a special interest in the development of creativity in children and a continuing career in early childhood education.

Much of her art practice concerns itself with connection to place, identity, generational belonging, and the relationship of perception and creativity to these. Environmental, humanitarian and social themes are other areas she continues to explore.

She began creative writing recently as a complimentary addition to her art practice and enjoys working in layers of meaning both visually and conceptually.

The opportunity to explore creative writing in collaboration with other visual artists attracted her to the ‘On Islands’ call out.

She has participated in the following exhibitions:

Emergence, 2008. K Gallery
Walk our Space. 2010 K Gallery
Springboard. 2012 K Gallery
Artful. 2013. K Gallery
Many Hands. 2013 K Gallery
