Michelle Ball


Michelle is a visual artist. She has been practicing since leaving art school in 1978.

While at art school in Western Australia, she studied classic art mediums including photography and film making. In 1977 she produced a documentary, Waves, that included animation.

Michelle studied watercolour whilst living in New York and participated in a group show, Botanica, at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. Living in Elvina Bay, Michelle continues to paint what is important to her, the local Kuringai National Park and the surrounding area in which she lives.

Currently working as an Art Director in print media Michelle is also involved in the production of moving images for online content.

Michelle has exhibited in group shows at LaPerouse Museum and Manly Art Gallery. She also had solo exhibitions at Salonbim, Sydney.

Michelle has embraced this opportunity to collaborate and produce art including an animated artwork to illustrate the fragility of local fauna.
