Peta Khan is a multimedia artist and documentarian who specializes in working with urban and remote communities to produce creative and authentic multimedia stories and installations.
As an experienced community media facilitator, she has worked for arts organisations in Australia and internationally. Most recently she worked as a multimedia producer and facilitator in remote communities in the Northern Territory with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
Peta is interested in the power of storytelling to affect positive change in our communities and to connect people around the world. She currently has a number of works in development that explore the intersection of new media technologies, community arts and storytelling – looking at how real stories can be shared and experienced in new ways and how creative documentary projects can be taken off the screen and into unique locations and authentic ‘experience’ spaces.
